the pleasure of His company by dutch sheets: book review

this book could very well be a life changer for many people!

prego life has certainly left time to read some amazing books!  i just finished up The Pleasure of His Company by Dutch Sheets.

"There is a place in the heart of every human that God made only for Himself.  Period.  If we don't get this right, life will be out of rhythm; the pieces won't fit.  Nothing else can fill this void, including other people, money, pleasure or accomplishments.  And certainly not religion.  We weren't created to connect with a system but a person."

wow, i wish this book was available when i was tired of living away from the Lord.  this is not a religious book.  it is a book to draw you into His presence.  our Father desires an intimate relationship with each of His children. Dutch Sheets does a wonderful job, using scripture and stories of making God real...He's a person who wants to be your friend!

Each chapter ends with a heartfelt prayer..."I need the order of heaven established in my life to walk out my destiny.  Father, guide me by your Holy Spirit to make choices that steer me toward accomplishing the good works that long before time You prepared for me."

i love how the author gives the Hebrew translation of certain words from the bible, this really makes them come alive.  this is not a dry, stuffy book like unfortunately so many spiritual books can be...this is fun, down-to-earth yet spiritually moving.

it book can be used as a devotion as well as just a read-at-your-own-pace book. the chapters are short and to the point.

thank you Bethany House for a complimentary copy in exchange for a honest book review!
