drum roll please...

that is the latest joke around here...the kids laugh while playing the bump like a drum.  i think by now i've heard all the jabs and jokes about being prego...all in love and good fun.  in fact, the nickname mountain mama may soon turn into prego mama before much longer.  that, or waddles-a-lot.

no matter how many babies we have {this is really number 4?!} it is ALWAYS a miracle.  my brain can not wrap around the fact that there is a human being growing in my womb...AMAZING!!  what gets kinda crazy is when you see a hand or a heel shape from the belly...WOW!

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..."  Jeremiah 1:5

we are choosing to go with a midwife this go round.  the girls were born at different hospitals {each a very unique story} and trooper was born at home.  the home birth was such a great experience that we're gearing up for it yet again!

today was our second ultrasound...and i'm guessing my friend tracy, who wanted to know the sex of the baby has already guessed...do you see the cursive writing over the baby and the purple text?

ladies and gentlemen...it's a girl!  and, we'll think of a blog name for her soon!

bubba {trooper} was in complete shock of the ultrasound tech's news...he stood there shaking his head repeating, "it's a boy...i know it's a boy..."  surely having a mama and two sisters, soon to be three, aint that bad?!  smile.  we're still on the list to adopt so he may just get a brother yet.

so, there you have it.  i'm getting bigger, the baby is moving a lot, still resting yet feeling like getting a bit done around the house, the kids are beyond excited and trooper could still be in shock.

thanks for sharing our special news with us!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

... of course, boy OR girl would have been good. (and boy AND girl would have been doubly good ;) )
