Book Review: A Christmas Gift For Rose by Tricia Goyer

Rose was born during the Great Depression and felt heart break when her betrothed left to help with World War II, Amish are peacemakers after all.  Through this story of reconciliation Rose not only realizes the truth about her beloved but also about her past.

Based on a true Amish story, this novel is perfect for the holidays - it is full of love, hope and family.  The characters are people you may know - real people trying to find their way and follow where their hearts lead.  Not only does this novel give us a glimpse into historical truth mentioning the effects of the war and Depression but it's also a story of healing and following God's plan...a perfect gift for the book lover on your list this holiday season.  The ending is not one I will soon forget!

The only downfall of the book is that it didn't last longer...
