on when i try to keep my dinner down.

i love homeschooling.  and i love my husband.  and i really love the two put together.  especially when it has to do with dissecting/cleaning a fish.  the kids begged and pleaded for me to participate.  even to touch the foul smelling creature...uh, thanks for the offer, but i'm needed in the house.  to do what i'm not sure but i'll think of something.  and quick.

  4. Oh, I'd be right there beside you! I'm not one for dissecting - though the opportunity did present itself with a squirrel and a bird. I passed. Such a shame, eh? :-)

  5. Right there with you, momma! Heck, I squinch just with the watching...it's all in what my mind and stomach are discussing underneath it all ;) My daddy is the same way, but he would do it. My mom was the real strong one when it came to that kind of stuff - she'd always be my puller at the end of a Turkey dinner.

  9. Back when I was a kid I used to love to watch our neighbor clean the catfish he would bring home after a long day of fishing. I'm not so inclined anymore. . . But I'll bet that fish in the photo made for some mighty fine eatin'!

  15. MM,

I love those pictures! Kids need their Daddys to do the stuff we Mom's don't mind doing.

(Although I wouldn't have an issue with cleaning a fish - I cleaned scores of salmon as a kid). :)

Anyway, agree 100% about the love of husband, homescholing and combining the two. We are BLESSED to have both, don't you think?

    Much love,
    Laura

  16. I'm married to a fisherman so I'm used to cleaning fish. I think it would bother me if it were a pig or something like that make you dissect in college Biology, but a fish doesn't bother me. I'm getting caught up on my blog reading, I'm so behind!
