when we moved into this house last year trooper would hardly get in the pool. he would set on the side with his feet dangling...wearing both water rings and a life jacket. he knows cautious.
in fact, so do i. some things lately have pointed to the future...the future that i will have to get out of my comfort zone. i will have to be bold. to act in spite of fear. and when i think of it all i want to strap on all life saving devices available.
but, then i think of this guy. after having a chance to get used to the pool on his timetable he is now fearless.
is that what i'm supposed to be doing? slowly acclimating myself to what the future holds?
hmmm....there are life lessons everywhere one looks...and swims.
"Courage is fear that has said its prayers." ~Dorothy Bernard

Hmmmm, I like that quote: Courage is fear that has said our prayers.... I guess it's not so much that *we* change, but we stop looking at ourselves, and begin looking at the One who *can*.
