Angels are for real Book Review & giveaway!
when i was a child i was told by my aunt that i had a guardian angel. i easily accepted it as a fact...even naming him. fast forward to high school, my child like faith left. i questioned everything.
can you hear me saying this in my valley girl voice..."so like...i'm supposed to believe angels are here but we can't see them? do they have wings? i mean, come on, seriously..." ?
it wasn't until i had a life saving event at the age of nineteen that radically altered my opinion of the supernatural world. there were indeed invisible hands that pushed me out of the grip of death or severe brain damage. and yes, i was very much sober.
ever since that moment, i have tried to live for God, making many mistakes along the way. and i've also been curious about those hands that pushed me. and more than ever i am sure of the unseen world...both good and evil.
i was very eager to read and review Angels are for real by Judith MacNutt, a licensed psychotherapist nonetheless.
this book is chocked full of stories of people who have been helped by angels are who's lives have been spared. i laughed, was shocked and felt goose bumps many, many times while reading this book. i will admit, some of the stories shared by people were a bit cheesy...but maybe another reader would really enjoy them.
Mrs. MacNutt doesn't leave the reader wondering about angels, she biblically describes the many different kinds of angels and their jobs using scripture. there is a brief chapter on the "dark side". i love that she doesn't dwell on the bad, just lays it out there as fact and moves onto the good...to give God glory.
in this book you'll learn:
what angels look like, what they do, why they are important in believer's lives, the heavenly hierarchy, what fallen angels are and lots more!
i'd love to give this copy away...just leave a comment and we'll do a random drawing.
thank you to bethany house for this free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
