when we moved from georgia i actually never thought we would see the kendrick family again. but, amazingly in the past 2 months we've seen them or Alex 3 times. this past time alex came to tulsa to speak at a local private school. hearing him speak i remember why i first loved his wife and kids and more importantly their vision for the movies.
alex is always full of stories of how the movies are reaching people all over the world...one man who was unreachable by his parents recently saw "courageous" and accept Christ as his Savior. he died in a car wreck one week later.
there are countless stories of how they knew nothing about making movies yet every time they always come together...and get better and better! by God's grace and for His glory. in fact, i was able to see first hand in the production office just how much prayer goes into a movie and how He meets their needs.
emails and letters arrive everyday at Sherwood chuch about changed lives and hearts. isn't that what it is all about?
i strongly believe in their vision. they are fun, humble, Jesus-loving people. in fact, the first thing alex said the other evening was something like, "if you don't remember anything else i'll say just remember that i believe Jesus died and rose again, he is my Saviour."
i wish i could give each of you copies of their movies. but, for now, we'll be giving one set away this month includng "flywheel", "facing the giants", "fireproof" and "courageous".
