friends reunited.

"Friendship is born when one person says to another, 'What?  You too?  I thought I was the only one."  C.S. Lewis

i was a mama to one working in the church nursery.  the fellow worker/mama and i started talking one night while tending to a class of toddlers and we quickly realized we had so much in common!  our daughters were the same age, we loved whole foods {the store} and of course we went to the same church!  our husbands got along well and the rest is history!

our girls grew up for a few years together.

then we moved away.  or did they move away first?  either way, it's nice to know we aren't the only ones God is umm...shall i say, stretching?  teaching?  molding?  refining?

my dear friend and i had the pleasure in visiting face to face last night while they are in town for a few days.  we agreed we both look the same as we did a few years ago...only with a few gray hairs!  {go figure!}

we talked about how awesome the Lord is, how amazing He works and some of the radical ways He shows Himself faithful.

i think we both have prayed over the past two years...

"You want me to move where?"  "You want me to do what?"

God has blessed this family abundantly for listening and obeying and no doubt there are big things in their future.

it was a breath of fresh air to be able to have a heart-to-heart with a dear friend.

and now for the record, it's great to know "i'm not the only one!"

{and i'm so thankful for friends both near and far!}

  2. That is so wonderful! I have a friend like that. We went to the same church when we were young, her daughter was friends with my girls...we were pregnant together with our boys...we can be apart for awhile and when we get together the friendship is still the same!....But I hate to say...my friend and I do not look the same:)
