it's giveaway time {don't miss this}

                                       {after being painted!}

{before}

there's a story behind this month's giveaway...if you know me well then you know i'm full of stories, i can't help it.  really.

anywho...it was our last few weeks in idaho and my desire was to have our pictures professionally taken in the mountains that we had grown to love.  but how?  who in the world would make the drive?

it just so happens that one of the people we got to meet before driving out of those mountains is a photographer...hot dog!

don't you love it when the Lord does something like that for you??

{mountain man was busy working, not a huge surprise.  so we did the shoot as a father's day present!}

the pictures are pretty special to us.  they were taken in the mountains and by a very talented new friend who had as much fun taking the pictures as we had smiling for them.  {another BIG thank you!!}

could the image get anymore special?

yes!

enter: pam at thegraydogdesign.  pam takes a photograph and turns it into a digital work of art!  she actually "paints" the picture {via her computer} so it looks like a real painted portrait, very unique indeed.

she offered to do one for us as a sample and of course i said yes!  pam was very professional and easy to work with emailing edits along the way.  i asked her to keep the wild sage in the background and i think it turned out great.

she mailed us the completed work of art ready to be framed.  at first glance my mom exclaimed, "is THAT for ME?"  she loved it.  {it's going in mountain man's new office, sorry mom!}

pam has agreed to "paint" a one-of-a-kind 11 X 14 portrait  for one of you!  a $89 value!  all you need to do is enter the giveaway and if you win email her your high resolution picture!  and by the way, she can do landscapes and animals too!!  see?

there are four ways to enter.  please remember to leave a separate comment for each entry, don't forget your email address if you aren't linked with a blog.

1. follow pam's blog: alfphotograptyblog.
2. become a follower of mountain mama, what are you waiting for? if you are a follower already then just leave any old comment please.
3. leave a comment and let us know what pic you'd like to have "painted."  it's a really tough choice!
4. blog, facebook or tweet about this giveaway.
*if someone forgets to leave a comment for each enty i will try to catch it but alas, i'm not perfect {big surprise, i know}

giveaway ends august 9th so don't delay!
giveaway is now closed! thanks =)

  3. I'd have a hard time picking something, I'd love to do a picture of my 3 boys. However, my parents 40th wedding anniversary is coming up, and I have this picture of them from the 1970s. They are standing next to their VW bug and holding their little pug Butch, and they look so in love and so happy. They don't even know I have the picture (snagged it from my uncle) and I'd love to have it done and give it to them as an anniversary gift from me and my 2 brothers :-)

  23. Ok, this is a hard one. You know our boys have started raising cattle to sell beef. I think a painting of their first steer, good ole Ribeye, would be a perfect pic for this. Either that, or my oldest son's first falcon that he released back to the wild this spring. Oh, how he misses that bird.
