our new pad {adventure awaits}

our hearts are to buy land and build.  our dream home is in our heads and in a file folder.  God wanted to teach us a few things before we got settled, hence the adventures in georgia and idaho.

learn them we did.

after living on 30,000 plus acres it is very hard for us to be in the city.  and when i say city i mean a small town which is still overwhelming to us.

anyway, we prayed for the right place {to rent} while we get our ducks in a row and find just the right land.  we want mucho acres so our kids can build one day if they choose to and have adventures of their own.

the Lord answered our prayers with our new pad.  we will live in the separate mother-in-law addition of a friend of the family's home.  the owner needed a specific family for the space.  it's also 5 minutes from our new business adventure.

don't you love it when God has a plan?  and it's finally revealed to you?

i simply won't post pics of the inside until it's in order, and that may be never by the way.  so, some outside pics will have to hold you over.

concerning the top picture, there are two ponds to enjoy.

oh, i almost forgot...and one of these.

and i'd say boo bear is just a wee excited to have a place for her horses.

any mountain mama wouldn't feel at home without one of these.  it's a wood stove for you city slickers.  you know, you put wood in it and it heats the house.  it also makes a mean grilled cheese.  don't laugh.

and last but certainly not least, one of these.  did you know they spit? is it just me or do i have a knack for finding myself in uh...sticky situations.
let the adventures begin!

{thanks goes out to my mom for helping clean the new pad and taking us out to lunch!  and of course we are ever so grateful for the Lord for directing us to the perfect spot!  He rocks, but you already know that.}

  20. I feel a children's book coming on, "Mountain Momma and The Llama"...what do you think? I'll have Ms. W play with that.

  21. Oh wow!!! That is so wonderful. I love when God shows himself and his plan in just the perfect moment. The home sounds great. I hope you're able to get settled quickly. Are you going to buy a spinning wheel and spin some of the most wonderful fiber in the world? (okay, that's not really from my head...that's something my sister would say. She's the spinner, knitter and weaver)But still...it could be your next adventure! :)
